Gentle Yoga for Wellness

Studies are now agreeable regarding the remarkable impact a personal yoga practice has on physical, mental health, and spiritual well-being, particularly as our bodies age. Knowing our own bodies and variations of yoga poses is vital in developing our own personal yoga practice to foster physical, mental, and emotional health for a lifetime. Anita will share how we can adopt proper variations of these time-honored asanas (poses) for better well-being from this ancient practice. In particular, focus will be on developing the four essential skills needed to retain as much independence in our lives as possible as our bodies age: Strength, Balance, Agility, and Flexibility. Anita enjoys a relaxed and accepting classroom environment that quickly becomes community and fosters friendship among the participants. In keeping completely with Kula Wellness Center’s key philosophy.
